The purpose of the Minnesota Paint Horse Association is to promote and stimulate interest in the Paint Horse by encouraging Paint Horse classes in all horse shows; pleasure and trail riding, and all activities of the same nature in every way possible. This is accomplished by promoting good horsemanship and good sportsmanship and by educating the public about the qualities of the Paint Horse and the American Paint Horse Association.

Thank you to those who participated in the MN Horse Expo this year. Christie Hammel for volunteering her horse " Sasha". You did a great job throughout the long weekend representing MPHA and APHA in the Parade of Breeds, breed demo, Julie Goodnight, wedding witness, and even a segment on Twin Cities Live TV! Also thanks to Andrew Ablen for the use of his stall drapes, and Lisa Reynolds, Mary and Morgan Plizka, Amanda Kamstra, Julie Cardin, Lori Smith and Lindsay Chounard for volunteering their time, and those members who just stopped by to say 'hi'. We were very well represented at the expo and received a lot of positive comments and hopefully some new members. Also thank to the Minnesota North Star paint organization for their contribution of a beautiful tobiano stallion and sharing of the space to represent the paint horse.
